Accidents happen and YOU can deal with it!

Please stay calm and in control of your emotions. Anger will not undo the accident, it will make your tasks more complicated.

Shut down the engine of the vehicle.

Verify if any of the passengers in your car of outside of your car is injured. If so, call police and ambulance if necessary.

Before opening the car door, check if any other vehicle is coming from behind.

Secure the site: place breakdown triangles in front and behind the car if on a busy road.
Put hazard lights on.

Mark the wheel of car(s) with the yellow chalk. Mark also the vehicle number to show the location of each vehicle then move the vehicles to an appropriate place to avoid obstruction of circulation.

If there is smell of gasoline fuel, do not move the vehicle; call police.

Find an agreement with the driver of the other vehicle on the cause(s) of the accident. Please check the details on our website drive360.mu below for the conditions where the Constat a L'amiable post accident agreement form applies or does not apply.
